Door openings play a significant role in the ability to control sound transmission especially in Hospitality and Multi -Family applications. Sound Transmission Class (STC) is the rating provided by the testing agency under ASTM E90-09 guidelines for sound transmission loss. The higher the STC rating the less sound will transfer to the other side. Just as important as the door, perimeter gasketing and seals are required to achieve the highest rating possible. At CMC we tested a variety of stile and rail doors to offer as many styles as possible. Unfortunately, STC Flush Door offerings are not available at this time.
